TWINS Lauren and Ashton Mills have found a new mum.

An unnamed single mother of two has been chosen to look after the ten-year-olds when their mother Tobi dies.

Tobi, 43, of Haldane Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, has secondary cancer of the liver and has only a short time to live.

As exclusively revealed in the Oxford Mail in February, the twins wrote an advertisement appealing for replacement parents.

It said: "Kids and dog for hire. Life term contract. Sad gits need not apply."

The story attracted interest all over the world and more than 100 prospective parents came forward.

Staff from Oxfordshire social services have been working with Tobi and the twins to find a new family.

Mary Robertson, director of social services, said today: "A family from Oxfordshire has now been identified and introductions are taking place. They are progressing well."

The name of the new mother is not being revealed.

Mrs Robertson said: "The children need to get to know their new family without being affected by the undue pressure that too much publicity could create."

She said Tobi and the twins were grateful that so many people had come forward. "They hope that perhaps some of these people might be able to help other children in the future," she said.

Tobi and the twins recently visited Disney World in Florida on a trip paid for by The Sun newspaper.

An appeal for cash to set up a trust fund for the twins - supported by the Oxford Mail - has so far raised about £8,000. More money is still needed. You can pledge money on 01865 205192 or by fax on 01865 242569, or hand in cash at any Lloyds Bank branch, quoting sort code 30-12-51 and account number 0088442. Cheques should be made payable to The Tobi Mills £10,000 Appeal.
