SOME of the world's tallest people will be in Oxfordshire next week for a guided tour of the Great Western Society's Didcot Railway Centre.
The visit has been arranged by the Tall Persons' Club of Great Britain, which is hosting the International Tall Persons' Convention from May 17-24.
Part of the visit will include rides on the footplate. Jeanette Howse, GWS marketing executive said: "Over 150 delegates are expected to visit the railway centre for lunch on Tuesday, (May 19) followed by guided tours and rides on a steam train."
"We just hope that they will fit in the confined space of a footplate on a restored tank engine."
