A YOUNG boy and two men conned their way into the home of an 86-year-old woman in Woodstock.
The pensioner opened her door to a man who claimed he needed to turn off her water supply. He told her his father was having a washing machine installed and they needed to turn off water at nearby houses.
The man, in his 20s, then pushed his way into her home on Saturday afternoon.
He was then joined by a boy, aged about 11, and another man who began looking through drawers and cupboards. Police said all three left but nothing appeared to have been stolen.
