A MOTORCYCLIST was caught in a police speed trap near Kidlington travelling at 127mph.
The crackdown followed complaints about bikers gathering at a pub and using roads as race tracks on Monday nights.
Radar checks were set up in a lay-by on the A4095, between the Bladon roundabout and the Oxford to Banbury Road.
Pc Phil Peters said: "We caught two riders doing 91mph and another at 99mph. It is only a single carriageway with a 60mph limit. But even we were taken aback by when one biker was clocked at 127mph. The rider was aged 31 and travelling on a Honda 900.
"He and the others were warned that they face court appearances for speeding."
