Window cleaners Kevin Rose and Colin Brown haven't looked back since The Full Monty.

The film's soaraway success has brought a boom in business for the Carterton duo's evening job - hen nights with in-the-flesh male strippers. Oxfordshire's women seem to have no hang-ups. They're snapping up tickets like gold dust.

"We're doing great," said Kevin. "You're even getting shows now in village halls and that was unheard of not so long ago."

The two men, who operate as Brownrose Productions, put on shows at football clubs and hire strippers from London or Birmingham. Their next gig is at Carterton Town Football Club on September 23 and they confidently expect a sell-out.

It was the same "tickets all sold" story at Freeland village hall last Friday for a private hen night - the second held there in recent months. "A lot of ladies are going to them because they've seen the film. It's all harmless. They want a good laugh," said Kevin, of Hill View, Carterton.

"No blokes are allowed in. It just needs a bloke to walk in and it kills the atmosphere. We did one at a village hall in the Wychwoods and they raised a lot of money for charity. The local church kicked up a bit about it, but so what?

"The girls love it. Mind you, you get a lot of blokes with hang-ups about their wives or girlfriends going along."

The two pals hit the headlines long before the film was even heard of. Five years ago they wanted to hire a public hall in Witney for a strip show hen night to raise money for local cancer victim Steve Cox. It was banned by the council.

"Business is booming since The Full Monty. The shows are selling out much quicker," said Kevin. "Mind you, we're not giving up the day job."
