The next Inspector Morse book will be the last - if author Colin Dexter ever finishes writing it.
"I just don't get much of a chance to make much progress. I go out so often. If I ever finish this book, I don't think I will start another," he said.
The 66-year-old author, who lives in Banbury Road, Oxford, spoke as ITV prepared to screen what has been billed as the last Inspector Morse adventure on television. It will be shown on November 11.
