FORMER Oxford United defender Mark Wright has landed his first managerial job - at Conference club Southport.
The 36-year-old former Liverpool and England star was among the candidates for the Oxford United post before the appointment of Mickey Lewis and Ray Harford.
Wright, whose parents live in Berinsfield, takes over from Paul Futcher, who was sacked last month.
