A MAN was appearing in court today charged with the murder of a mother who was strangled and dumped at a beauty spot.
The body of Karen Heywood, 35, was found in undergrowth at Houghton, near Bognor Regis, West Sussex, on January 19.
She had previously been staying in Winchester, Hampshire, after moving away from her family home in Banbury.
Police charged 25-year-old Jarno Cable, of South Bersted, Bognor Regis, with her murder over the weekend. Cable was due before Worthing magistrates.
Divorce Mrs Heywood had moved to Bognor Regis in December 1999, and was last seen in the town on New Year's Day.
