Home Office ministers were today facing criticism for delays in introducing a law of corporate manslaughter.
The move was championed by the Oxford Mail after the Paddington disaster.
Labour MP Andrew Dismore, a former personal injuries lawyer, will increase the pressure for action when he unveils a bill to implement a law of corporate homicide.
The bill will try to hold directors responsible for any system failure which leads to an accident. In America, corporate manslaughter laws can see companies and executives liable for large fines and compensation claims.
