Computer entrepreneur Paul Harris has opened a shop which combines the best of the High Street and the Internet.

With his wife, Gael, he has opened a gifts and collectibles shop, Allsorts Collectors Parade, in Parsons Street, Banbury, which combines shopping with a website and a mail-order catalogue.

He said: "Customers are wary of buying gift items over the Internet, they want to see and touch the goods for themselves to check their quality first."

The store itself offers customers more than just a place to buy goods with exhibits of props from Hollywood movies like 'Shakespeare in Love' and a display area, where you can see how different goods in the shop were produced. Mr Harris said: "For many people shopping is a leisure activity just like a visit to the cinema. We recognised this and are giving people a bigger experience with their shopping."

Customers who want to get a gift for someone they don't know well can use "Giftwizard" a computer package which asks up to four questions and comes up with three suggested gifts.
