A solicitors' clerk who stole from his firm's clients was barred from working in a legal office without permission from the Law Society.
A solicitors' disciplinary tribunal decided David Jones, who worked for Donnellan and Co at The Tannery, Witney Street, Burford, and the Gables, Market Square, Princes Risborough, acted with "gross dishonesty".
Jones is serving a 39-month sentence in a Milton Keynes prison. He was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court last July for stealing 71,000 from client funds. The tribunal panel banned him from working in a solicitor's practice without permission from the Law Society and ordered him to pay 1,186 costs.
Solicitor Richard Donnellan, of Spring Street, Chipping Norton, was struck off in October for allowing Jones, a known criminal, to run his firm and raid clients' accounts.
