Thame boosted their Ryman Division 1 promotion hopes as they moved up to third place with last night's victory at Bromley.

The only goal came in the ninth minute when Mark Jones's well-flighted ball found the unmarked Mark West and he stole in to head home.

The second half belonged to the home side who enjoyed the considerable slope, but Thame, who boast the best defensive record in the division, soaked up the pressure, led by skipper Martin Brown.

Substitute Jefferson Louis saw his header hit a post in the closing stages.
