Witney's season, which has been fizzling out for the last month and a half, went totally flat with another dismal 1-0 defeat against Baldock in the Dr Martens Eastern Division at Marriotts Stadium yesterday.
It appears that Town's supporters have had enough this season only 63 turning up.
Witney were down to their bare bones, with not even 11 fully-fit players on show, yet they started promisingly. Geoff Neville saw his scissor-kick hit the post and bounce behind and then Simon Abercrombie's first-time effort went just wide.
Baldock struck on the stroke of half-time. Keeper Kevin Alder charged from his area to attempt a headed clearance but nodded the ball out only as far as Simon Dunlop, who returned it with interest into an open goal.
The second half was dire, with neither side able to create a decent chance.
