Child prodigy Sufiah Yusof was found by police after applying for a hotel job in Bournemouth.
The 15-year-old was tracked down by police to an Internet cafe in the town after being contacted by staff. She is now in the care of social services after refusing to see her parents, who live in Coventry.
A police spokesman said yesterday: "Our officers were already looking for Sufiah in Bournemouth because they had received a tip-off she had applied for a job at a hotel.
Sufiah has completed three years of a four-year maths degree at Oxford University's St Hilda's College.
