A campaign to persuade youngsters to wear cycle helmets has been launched.
More than 200 cyclists are killed in the UK every year and 4,500 seriously injured.
The campaign is being run by Buckinghamshire County Council, which covers 20 villages around Thame and Bicester.
All cyclists should wear a helmet, a spokesman from the county's road safety unit urged, although the campaign is aimed mainly at children.
Cyclists are also warned that helmets are designed to withstand only one impact.
