Six defendants appeared in court charged with kidnapping an Oxford man.
Mohammed Akram, 44, of Waterbeach Road, Slough, Berkshire; Liaquat Ali, 24, of Perdeen Court, Slough; Amjad Hussain, 32, of Chester Road, Slough; Mohammed Shabbir, 21, of St Elmo Crescent, Slough; and Mohammed Sharif, 27, of St Paul's Avenue, Slough, were remanded in custody until September 11 at Oxford Magistrates' Court.
Kashif Sarwar, 21, of St Elmo Crescent, Slough, was released on bail on the condition he did not contact co-defendants. He must reside at his home address, surrender his passport, stay out of Oxfordshire, not contact witnesses and report to the police station daily between noon and 2pm.
