Multiple sclerosis sufferer Barry Taylor, above, has been given wall space at an Oxford hospital to show off a collection of his photographs.

The 52-year-old, who has been left severely disabled by the disease, is confident the gallery of pictures at the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford, will be welcomed by patients, staff and visitors.

He also hopes he can sell some of his prints, helping him to turn his hobby into a profession.

Mr Taylor was first struck with MS, which affects the nervous system, 25 years ago. He was able to carry on working as a graphic artist designing the interiors for famous venues, such as London's Hard Rock Cafe and Birmingham's NEC.

But five years ago Mr Taylor had to give up work when he lost the power in one arm.

He said: "I always loved photography and was trained in art, so I guess it was a natural progression for me, really."

Mr Taylor, of Chesham, Bucks, believes photography is a good therapy. His pictures are on show outside Sherrington Ward.
