A motorist who was caught drink-driving while banned has been disqualified for four years.
Craig Powell, 32, was due to be sentenced at Banbury Magistrates Court last month for driving with excess alcohol on the A41 near Bicester on June 11.
It was the second time he had been caught drink-driving and he faced an automatic two-year ban from the court.
But while he was on bail awaiting sentence Powell was stopped by police in Egham, Surrey, and found to be over the limit again.
His case was heard by magistrates in Staines, Surrey, who also sentenced him to a combination order of community service and probation and 55 costs. Powell, of Virginia Water, Surrey, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, having no insurance and driving while disqualified.
He admitted driving with excess alcohol near Bicester at an earlier hearing and had received an interim disqualification.
The case was heard on the same day Thames Valley Police launched an initiative to encourage the public to shop suspected persistent drink-drivers.
