Robin Hansford of Oxford City notched another victory in the latest Mid-Oxon time trial with a time of 20.54.
With one event remaining, Stewart House (Thames Velo) now leads the season-long competition by nine points.
Despite using fast new tyres, Oxonian's Dave Free was slower than in recent weeks when he clocked 29.14 in the Northampton & District CA's 10-mile event, held on a new course incorporating the Tingewick by-pass.
The fresh breeze on the outward half proved his undoing.
Two Oxonian members competed in the Finsbury Park CC's 25-mile event on the A1 in Bedfordshire. John Bourton clocked 55.39 and Chris Hart 1.6.25.
The following day, Hart recorded 1.5.31 in the Bedfordshire Road CC's charity event on the same course. The winner was Gary Empson in 53.49.
