Oxford City kept up their challenge at the top of Men's Division 1 in the Wilson Inter-Club Three-pair League with a win at Woodstock, writes Andrew Parsons.
City's first pair of Mark Wallace and Richard Gray led the charge, winning three from three, all in straight sets.
Duncan Todd & Geoffery Deeley, and Adrian Roberts & Eamonn Dealey, second and third pairs respectively, each won one and a half each for a 6-3 victory.
The Oxfordshire Junior County Closed championships get underway on Sunday, August 27, with the finals being held on Saturday, September 2.
The tournament is this year being staged at the Oxford Sports Club, North Hinksey, and spectators are welcome.
There will be an all-day barbecue on the Sunday, with the first matches being in the under 10s and the mixed doubles.
