Teachers, pupils and governors at a Catholic primary school have been praised by Government inspectors.
Staff at St Amand's Catholic Primary School in East Hendred are delighted with a report by the education watchdog Ofsted, which described teaching and learning at the school as "very good".
Inspectors said the strengths of the 147-pupil school far outweighed its weaknesses, highlighting the high standard of teaching, the quality of care for pupils with special educational needs, and the level of leadership provided by the headteacher John Laverty.
However, the inspection team identified weaknesses in the teaching of information and communication technology, and the monitoring of teaching.
