There's everything to play for at the top of Division 1 of the Oxford & District League, with three teams sharing the top spot.

Newtrim, leaders before the latest round of matches, were beaten 2-1 at home by Eynsham, with only Bob Chivers (-10) winning. He beat Ken Leach (+110) 200-168.

For Eynsham, Geoff Watson (+110) avenged his loss to Norman Woodcock (+90), this time winning 150-125. Mick McCluskey (+110) again beat Simon Aries (-50) 200-175.

John Simpson (+10) and Ken Olive (+50) gave CCC A a 2-1 victory over Morris Motors, while Rileys A beat HCC A by the same score, with Roger Coenen (+70) and Dave Morgan (+60) winning.

New Club stay joint bottom, despite beating Rileys B 2-1 with wins from Andy Moss (+110) and Harry Kidner (+90).

Witney stay top of Division 2 after proving too strong for Crown House, winning 2-1.

Terry Cook (+50) scored consistently to beat Dick Hashman (-50) 200-144 in the opening game, but Keith Pearce (+70) was too good for John Hume (+30) to level the match .

In the deciding game, Steve Mill (+110) beat Len Palmer (+100) 100-67.

Tonight, the second round of the Stephen Reiss Cup will replace the normal league programme, with matches involving: Morris Motors v Ashton; Rileys A v Eynsham; HCC A v New Club; Witney v Crown House.
