Chinnor will be hoping to complete a hat-trick over Henley in the last eight of the David Charles Oxfordshire Cup at Dry Leas on Sunday (2.30).

Since Henley's second string took over representing the club in the competition, they have played Chinnor three times - and lost every time.

This includes last year's quarter-final when Chinnor's forwards ruled the roost as they recorded a 23-17 victory on their way to becoming losing finalists.

If anything, Chinnor are stronger this season as they lead South West Division 2 East.

On Sunday, they will give a debut to South African lock Du Toit Serdyn, while full back Alan Cawston returns after being dropped for the past two weeks.

Henley 2nd have won 11 of their 16 matches this season, including two notable victories over Saracens' development side.

Due to Chinnor's refusal to agree to an earlier kick-off, the match will be played on one of Henley's Regatta Meadows pitches, across the road from the main ground where Henley Hawks will be entertaining Moseley in National League 1.

After a low-key start, the Oxon Cup has at last come alive, and there should be another close contest when Witney entertain Oxford Harlequins.

Although struggling to avoid the drop from South West Division 2 East, Witney have been competitive in most fixtures.

Jez Habberley, who missed last week's defeat by Stow, is expected to return to the second row.

Quins, with a lively set of backs, have proved inconsistent, as their mid-table position in Southern Counties North shows. Steve Chadbone and Gareth D Jones come into the reckoning after returning from holiday.

Holders Banbury Bulls will not be complacent against Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 2 club Henley Wanderers.

After their 95-3 demolition of Harwell last Saturday, the Wanderers have also strengthened their forwards with the selection of prop Rob Heginbotham, who scored for Henley Hawks in National League 1 only a few weeks ago.

The remaining tie sees Chipping Norton, bereft of four players representing Oxfordshire Under 20s, travelling to face renowned cup fighters Littlemore.

The semi-final draw will take place on BBC Radio Oxford at 7.20am on Monday.
