Six Bells will represent the Morrells Oxford Sunday league in the Sam Waters Oxfordshire Cup final after defeating Blackbird Leys (Sunday) 2-1 in the semi-final.

However, Bells were had to wait until extra time and rely on the golden goal.

In a tight, even game most of the play was in the midfield until midway through the second half when Bells were awarded a free kick on the edge of the area.

Fraser Gills, whose stunning strike had knocked Vikings out of the League Cup a fortnight earlier, once again thumped the kick into the top corner to give them the lead.

Blackbird continued to battle, and as the Bells defence waited for an offside whistle that never came, Stuart Armstrong raced through to equalise and take the tie to extra time.

Gills again produced the goods, as he got on the end of a cross for the golden goal to take Bells through.

In the second round of the President's Cup, North Oxford CC continued their recent improvement with a 4-0 win over Baldons.

North took an early lead through Darren Day and a delightful goal from Andrew Farries made it 2-0. Baldons were thwarted by fine saves by keeper Huw Evans.

A further brace of goals were added by Andrew Wheeler, the last finishing off a four-man move, to add to the ten goals he scored in the previous two games.

Star Wanderers Res were frustrated for long periods of their Jack Sadler Cup first-round tie, by visitors The Letting Shop, until Russell Whitlock's shot on the hour was only parried by Shop's keeper and Alan Major fired home the rebound.

Star made sure with a second ten minutes later when a Ron Sutherland pass down the wing released Peter Higgins who squeezed his shot home from a very narrow angle.

North Oxford CC Res saw that Woodchip Wanderers made an early exit with a convincing 5-0 victory. Neil Crozier gave them an early lead with a determined solo effort and Matty Ponting made it 2-0 before half-time with a cracking 25-yard strike.

Further goals came in the second half from Chris Heeley, with a flying header, Nolan Aselford and Crozier, who drilled in from a tight angle.

Despite both teams being understrength, Star Royal were still too strong for visitors Masons Arms, running out 7-2 victors in their Premier Division match.

Matty Phillips opened for Star but Matthew Meeson soon equalised only for Neil Drewitt to restore Star's lead and two from Jason Maciak saw them pull away to 4-1 at the break.

Phillips grabbed a second and Maciak two more in the second half before Tim Bowley netted a late consolation for Masons.

In Division 1, AFC Vikings were outplayed for the first 20 minutes by visitors Angel Witney before taking the lead through Dave Fowles.

Angel were again on top at the start of the second half and it was no surprise when Kevin Booth equalised.

But as the game headed for a draw, a defensive mistake let in Fowles for his second to snatch both points for Vikings.

Oxford YMCA saw off Riverside 6-4 in their Division 3 clash, with, Michael Yearwood grabbing a hat-trick and further goals coming from Aubrey Lovette, Darren Hamilton and Andrew Maisey.

In Division 4, Roebuck recorded their first win over Arncott, getting home 6-3.

Roebuck were 4-0 up at the break thanks to a brace from debutant Mark Mossip, a Carl Barber penalty and Mark Scanes's strike.

Gary Lawton grabbed a 15-minute hat-trick, bringing Arncott right back into the game. But a second penalty by Barber and a goal from Kenny Bechers saw Roebuck home.
