Michael Wyatt hit a superb hat-trick as the Giles Sports Witney Boys League Under 14 representative side maintained their 100 per cent record with a 5-1 win against the Mid Wilts Youth and Minor League at North Leigh.

Kicking down the slope in the first half, Mid Wilts defended well and it wasn't until Wyatt (Bicester Town Colts) fired home from outside the box in the 26th minute that the deadlock was broken.

After early pressure in the second half when Mid Wilts struck the upright, Witney then gained control.

The second goal came when Liam Hope (Tower Hill) linked with David Sparkes (Moretonville), allowing Matthew Vesty (Bicester Town Colts) to cross for Hope to finish.

Witney continued to assert their authority and made the game safe with the best goal of the game.

A cross from Sparkes on the right found Wyatt on the edge of the box and his spectacular scissor kick flew into the net.

Mid Wilts pulled a goal back, but it wasn't long before Wyatt completed his hat-trick with a tap-in after Sparkes's cut-back.

Goal No 5 came after Alan Brock (Easington Sports) cut inside a defender and thumped home to complete a satisfying victory.
