The unseasonably cold weather did its best to disrupt the start of the Shaw and Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League season on Saturday - but it couldn't stop the Division 3 match between Drayton and Carswell.
Defying the freezing conditions - both in the air and underfoot - Drayton Park beat the league newcomers 2-1 to secure the extra point available for winning teams - a new addition to the rules.
The Division 2 matches between Kirtlington v Tadmarton, and The Oxfordshire v Hazlemere were postponed.
