Vale of White Horse Under 11s finished their Berkshire County League programme on a high note with a 1-0 win over Chiltern & South Bucks at Farnham Common.
Luke Venn grabbed the decisive goal nine minutes into the second half when he ran on to John Mills' pass to shoot past Sam Beagle.
Venn, who had a shot cleared off the line after just 39 seconds, was then denied by a good save from Beagle.
The victory gave Vale a timely boost before their Southern Counties Cup final against Croydon at Reading Town on Monday (2.30).
