Banbury Twenty 2nd suffered a double blow as they crashed to a 106-run defeat against Shipton-under-Wychwood 2nd with star batsman Graham Densham picking up a serious knee injury.

Shipton made 153-8, with Adam Locke top-scoring on 52 as Sadiq took 6-34.

But Twenty were then shot out for 47, with Densham retiring hurt with knee problems which are likely to keep him out for some weeks.

Oxford & Horspath 3rd scraped home by three wickets against Oxford Nondescripts 2nd with a ball to spare.

Old hands Jack Woodley (42) and Richard Weston (39) put on 81 for the first wicket, but once they were parted, Nondies crashed to 128 all out with James Summers (3-39) and Zaheer Ahmed (3-23) doing the damage.

Julian Lawton Smith (49) provided the backbone of Oxford & Horspath's reply as they reached 129-7.

Nine-man Stanton St John Willows managed just 98 against visitors Abingdon Vale 2nd with Lee Bainbrigge (3-27) the chief destroyer.

Mark Edwards (43 no) and Phil Evans (33 no) then knocked off the runs as Vale lost just one wicket.

Kidlington 2nd posted 185-5 after being asked to bat first by hosts Sandford St Martin 2nd. But Sandford's strategy backfired as they managed only 158-8, despite a fighting 55 from Jim Howe.

Buckingham 2nd's Paul Sly (4-26) and Neil Heaviside (4-36) skittled Bledlow Ridge 2nd for 113 to set up an eight-wicket win. Mike Taylor then scored an unbeaten 69 to see Buckingham home.
