Bletchingdon did not mind having to change in the tent provided by hosts Stokenchurch as while work on their new pavilion continued, they romped to a 101-run victory, and totalled 188.

Stokenchurch were obviously less comfortable under these circumstances and collapsed spectacularly for 87 to Bletchingdon's new boy, Bhavsar, who took 5-39 on his debut.

Cumnor 2nd posted 205-4 at Tiddington without losing a ball to any of the surrounding restricted areas caused by the foot and mouth outbreak.

Bell and Hunter both scored half-centuries for the visitors.

Tiddington began with such confidence that their first wicket didn't fall until 123, of which Phil Clarke contributed 77. But then the batsmen struggled against Ward (3-37) and Evans (3-17) and they could muster only 170-7.

Brackley's Keith Cartwright and Gary Croft each took three wickets, but Aston Rowant 2nd were still able to reach 203, thanks mainly to Geoff Tombs (85) and Lee Lewis (46 no).

Brackley were then quickly reduced to 1-3 and were dismissed for 101 against the bowling of Tim Foster (4-33) and Steve Harris (3-17).

More good news for Rowant was that veteran seamer Bill Thompson was back in action after missing much of last season with back problems.

Alistair Whitehead made a half-century, but received scant support from his colleagues as Kimble 2nd were dismissed by Rover Cowley 2nd for 126, Whitley taking 7-51 in the process.

Welch (54 no) and Willis (46 no) then saw Rover home with the loss of just one wicket.
