Aron Field denied stealing a 59p yoghurt drink from a Dillons store, when he appeared before Didcot magistrates.
The 19-year-old, of Cole Drive, Berinsfield, was released on unconditional bail and proceedings were adjourned until June 21.
Field is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court for sentencing in relation to more serious charges on June 12.
