A distribution company is to move its head office to the Oxford Business Park at Cowley.
DCA Distribution, an international logistics, warehousing and distribution company, has taken a 16-year lease in the new Kingsgate complex on the park, developed by Arlington.
The company, which handles a network of large warehouses throughout Britain and Eastern Europe, decided Oxford was the most convenient place for its central head office. It is now recruiting secretarial and accounts staff.
The company offers computerised stock management and distributes automotive parts, confectionery, food, packaging, paper and stationery products, pharmaceuticals, steel coils and wire, and wines and spirits. It delivers to supermarkets, restaurants and homes.
It recently won the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) Award 2000 for Technology/Innovation.
One of its seven UK distribution centres is at Milton Park, near Abingdon, which employs 61 of the company's 150-strong UK workforce.
