Giant strawberries, a flying house and a massive Bertie Bassett - all these identifiable flying objects will be floating above Oxford's Cutteslowe Park this weekend. The Oxford Balloon Fiesta, now in its fourth year, is expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors - and there will be much to do besides marvelling at the balloons.

Organisers promise an array of fun and entertainment, including trapeze artists, parachute drops, falconry displays and a comedy duo who incoporate fire-breathing into their act!

And football fans worried about missing Saturday's FA Cup final between Arsenal and Liverpool at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium needn't worry - organisers have arranged to show the match on a huge screen.

But it is the balloons themselves which will be the main attraction. The sky will be alive with colour as 20 tethered balloons take to the air. And the magic will continue into the night.

The Nightglow Extravaganza will find the balloons firing their burners in time with a musical accompaniment. Previous years have shown this to be a feast of colour, light and music - and it looks set to be a 'must-see' this time around.

Back on terra firma, food and drink stalls will ensure that visitors won't go hungry or thirsty, and the tea garden offers a pleasant stop-off for a refreshing break and light snacks.

Other attractions running throughout the weekend include helicopter rides, a trade village and a miniature railway. The weekend wouldn't be complete without all the fun of the fair, provided by Oxford's own Hebborn Amusements.

The fiesta will also be supported throughout by Fox FM, which will be providing live entertainment, music and competitions at the Radio Roadshow.

Entrance to the fiesta is £2 on Saturday, £1 on Sunday (children under-12 free on both days). Car parking at the fiesta will cost £5. The Oxford Balloon Fiesta is going to be one of the biggest events of the year, so make sure you get up, up and away to Cutteslowe Park this weekend.
