Headington residents have been invited to visit to a new Web site keeping them informed about community life.
Launched by local historian Stephanie Jenkins, www.headington.org.uk is packed with news, history and information about the north-east Oxford area. Voluntary organisations and neighbourhood groups are also listed.
Mrs Jenkins said: "Headington has been swamped by the hospitals and Oxford Brookes University. The Web site aims to show that the local community is still alive and kicking.
"The history section is particularly well developed, with more than a hundred pages devoted to Headington's past. There are postcards showing Headington a hundred years ago."
