The poor state of school buildings could be preventing pupils from achieving greater success, a report has claimed.
Education inspectors from Ofsted praised Ickford Combined School, near Thame, for consistently high standards, high quality teaching, attendance and partnership between parents and governors.
But they added: "The school's accommodation, although much improved, was still inadequate. This is having an impact upon the standards achieved by pupils."
The report said the 126-pupil school had no control over the buildings issue and a copy is being sent to the county council in a bid to get it to improve facilities.
The report also said the school could do a lot better in its teaching of information and communication technology and criticised curriculum planning and monitoring.
Headteacher Peter Bozier said: "The report fully reflects all the hard work put in by pupils, teachers and support staff, governors and parents.
"We clearly have some areas to tackle in order to continue the progress and development of ours pupils and school and they will form part of an action plan."
