Witney's Independent candidate, Barry Beadle, said he could be a surprise package on Thursday's General Election vote.
He was out campaigning last week with a handful of supporters in Witney town centre.
"I have been well received so far, support is growing and I am confident this will continue as the campaign progresses," he said.
Mr Beadle, who runs The Hollybush Inn, Corn Street, is standing to put a focus on youth issues and to encourage young people to vote.
He has taken part in public election debates in Witney Methodist Church and Woodstock Community Hall and will be popping into The Farmers Arms in Charlbury, on Wednesday, for a candidates evening with local customers.
Mr Beadle is standing against Mike Bartlet (Labour), David Cameron (Conservative), Mark Steventon (Green), Ken Dukes (UK Ind Party) and Gareth Epps (Liberal Democrat).
