Residents in Didcot are being encouraged to attend a crime prevention and community safety day.
The event, which is being hosted by Didcot police in association with Southern Oxfordshire District Council and Didcot Town Council, will take place on Sunday, June 24, between 10am and 4pm at the Civic Hall.
Pc Roger Foster, the town's crime reduction officer, said: "We hope a lot of people come down to see what they can do to help reduce crime in Didcot.
"We will be showing people how personal attack alarms operate, as well as postcoding bicycles and etching vehicle windows.
"There will be lots of other practical displays and advice on offer for both young and old on how to make your home and property safer from thieves.
"Many criminals are opportunists on the look-out for easy targets. If people attend the event, they will be able to make their property safer and less attractive to thieves."
