Insurance agency A-Plan, which is based in Oxford, has signed a deal with motorists' support company Europ Assistance.
Under the terms of the agreement the Oxford agency, which has branches throughout the Midlands and South East, Europ Assistance will take over A-Plan's motorist legal protection and motor breakdown business.
The deal enables A-Plan to offer an exclusive, branded insurance package.
Chief executive Ian Donald said: "The combination of competitive pricing, innovative cover and own-brand products made Europ Assistance an obvious choice of partner."
Europ Assistance, formed in France almost 40 years ago, gains 90 per cent of its business from corporate customers.
Since coming to Britain in 1973 it has been integrating its motoring assistance and insurance services. It has a turnover of £69m and is 40 per cent owned by Italian car giant Fiat.
