Special athletes competed in both track and field to pick up prizes in an annual test of fitness.
Philip McGrandles in the shot eventDisabled sports fans from around the area took part in a range of activities for the Vale of White Horse Sports Association for the disabled's Challenge Shield competition. The event at King Alfred's Community and Sports College's West Site in Wantage, is a highlight of the year for the group.
The group organises sessions in traditional athletic events such as discus and javelin, as well as indoor bowls, table tennis and darts.
Spokesman Hazel Griffiths said: "Physical and mental impairment should not be a barrier."
