Challow & Childrey won the inaugural Oxfordshire Sunday Cup with a shock ten-run victory over favourites Oxford & Horspath in a low-scoring final.

Batting first, Challow collapsed from 74-1 to 134 all out against an accurate Oxford attack at the Horspath village ground.

Challow batsman Will MooreAustralian Ashley Holz- nagel top-scored for Challow with 39, while off spinner Ian Evans, with 2-13 off eight overs, returned the best figures for the home side.

But then a complacent Oxford, who included six players with senior county experience plus South Africans Alan Kruger and Radley Connor, crashed to 124 all out.

Wiltshire seamer Dave Moore picked up 2-8 from eight excellent overs.

Holznagel followed up with an equally commendable 2-9 off his eight overs, but the chief destroyer was Will Moore with 4-28.
