A Robin Hood fancy dress themed fun day raised more than £925 for a special unit for sick and newborn children at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
The event was held on August 25 at the Boundary House pub in Oxford Road, Abingdon. The day was organised by Rachel Bryon and her husband Peter, from Shelley Close, Abingdon for the Support for the Sick Newborn and Parents unit.
Mr and Mrs Bryon's son Daniel was born 14 weeks prematurely last year and weighed only 1lb 10ozs. He spent three weeks in the special care unit where he died - despite receiving intensive care and treatment.
Mrs Bryon said: "It was a wonderful day. We would like to thank all those who supported the event - particularly the Boundary House and shops and businesses who were so generous in providing prizes."
