Two men from Oxfordshire have been charged with drug offences following a warehouse raid which netted up to £15m worth of Ecstasy tablets.
David Fairbairn, 45, of Old Road, Oxford, and Neil Higgins, 41, of Shipton Court, Shipton-under-Wychwood appeared before magistrates in Cheltenham on Wednesday charged with conspiring to import and supply a Class A drug, Ecstasy, at Bourton-on-the-Water and elsewhere between August 1 and 27 this year. Two other men, both from Germany, also appeared on the same allegations.
The charges follow a joint raid by armed police and customs officials at a warehouse on the Rissington Business Park, Upper Rissington, near Stow-on-the-Wold, on Mondaynight.
The raid netted 250kg of Ecstasy in about 900,000 tablets - the largest drugs haul in Gloucestershire.
All four were remanded in custody and committed to stand trial at Gloucester Crown Court on September 4.
