Abingdon are still looking for their first win after eight games in Ryman League Division 3 after losing to the bottom club at Aveley last night.
Town dominated the first half without scoring.
In the second half, they became increasingly anxious and in the 84th minute, central defender Leighton Creer failed to reach keeper Mick Torres with his cushioned header, allowing Clapton's Handouche to score the winner.
