Docu-soap celebrity Katrina Leeder presented £1,250 for research at the Churchill Hospital, Headington.
Millions of viewers watched the progress of the airport check-in worker, from Milton Keynes, as she received treatment for cancer. She had radiotherapy and her kidney removed, but was adamant she would marry her fiance, before her hair began falling out, as a result of the treatment.
