Actor Jeremy Brudenell may be between jobs at the moment but he certainly is not "resting".
He is developing his new venture, Root 1, the former Sheards garden centre just outside Wallingford at Brightwell-cum-Sotwell.
He can be seen on Channel 5's Enid Blyton Secret Series on Sunday mornings as Thaddeus Arnold, adventurous father extraordinaire.
The series was shot in 1996 and has been repeated four times.
Mr Brudenell said: "I invested the proceeds of the Blyton series in a nursery. I was gardening between jobs anyway and my love affair with plants and garden design had already begun."
But he does not rule out treading the boards again if the opportunity arises.
