Winterbourne Utd 2, Chipping N Tn 2

Chippy earned a valuable Division 1 West point at second-placed Winterbourne, and could have taken all three.

The home side took the lead on 29 minutes as Dunn scored direct from a corner, but Town equalised a minute later when Martin Latimer ran through.

Robbie Wyatt beat three defenders to score a wonder goal before the break, but the home side equalised through Nash 15 minutes from time.

Chippy's Joe Cockroft saw a last-minute header cleared off the line.

Kidlington 1, Letcombe 1

Kidlington had to hang on against lowly Letcombe and were grateful to keeper Pete Lowe for two terrific saves.

Kidlington started brightly and Steve Litten was foiled twice by Letcombe keeper Stuart Game. It was 39 minutes before Letcombe managed their first shot at goal, but what a shot it was as Richard Claydon netted from 20 yards to put them ahead.

Kidlington's reply was immediate as Jeff Tallboys equalised with a powering header from a Fraser Gills corner two minutes later.

In the second half, Lowe saved superbly from Paul Roberts to keep the scores level.

Middle Barton 2, Ardley 5

Ardley proved too strong for Middle Barton in this local derby.

Stuart Beavon, back after a two-week lay-off, beat three defenders to open the scoring on 30 minutes, and a bizarre second came when Barton keeper Guy Smith's throw hit the back of an Ardley player and Richard Gardner hooked the ball into the net.

Ardley's player-boss Paul Spittle and Steve Green made it 4-0, before Colin Pickup scored a brace for Barton.

Ardley made sure of the points when Gardner bagged his second.

Easington Sp 1, Clanfield 1

Clanfield should have had revenge for last week's defeat by the same opponents, but a bizarre incident led to the home side equalising from a penalty.

The visitors had taken the lead on 18 minutes when Adam Lock netted at the far post.

The equaliser came in the 70th minute. Referee Chris Jamieson waved play on after Peter Osborne had been fouled on the edge of the area. Goalkeeper Jason Hunt picked up the ball, only to be penalised for handling a back pass, despite the keeper's claims that he had been told that he could do so.

From the free kick, a home forward was brought down and the resultant penalty gave Easington a point.

Englefield Gr 1, Quarry Nomads 0

Quarry Nomads put up an outstanding performance against Division 1 East title contenders Englefield Green but came away with nothing.

Brackett and Ford missed chances to give Quarry the lead, before Cloke put Rovers in front on the half hour.

The second half was one-way Quarry traffic for 45 minutes, but Ford, Rodney and Thomas all failed to convert chances.
