Fifth division leaders Appleton gave Division 2 outfit Coleshill United an almighty scare before bowing out of the War Memorial Cup quarter-finals 4-3 after extra time.
Stuart Howse (2) and a Greg Collins penalty made up Appleton's trio, but Coleshill had the edge through thanks to a Shane Blake hat-trick and Lee Beaver.
Benson Lions collected another higher division scalp as they beat Uffington United 3-0, thanks to goals from Tommy Smith, Leon McLeod and Paul Dempster.
