Residents in Bampton put on their boots and went digging on Sunday to extend a new wood.
Work started on the Shillbrook Wood in November 2000 as part of the Millennium celebrations.
Money for the project has been raised by residents, helped by grants from West Oxfordshire District Council and landfill tax credits.
