Headington Roadrunners' Iona Robertson and Radley Ladies' Tracey Galbraith go head-to-head in a potentially thrilling final round of this year's Oxford Mail Cross Country League at Banbury on Sunday.

With both still in the reckoning for the senior ladies' individual title, it is set to be a winner-takes-all race, with Robertson currently leading the way by just two points.

In the junior events, White Horse Harriers' Josephine Rhodes should capture the under 17 women's crown, provided she avoids any slip-ups.

Rhodes has dominated her age group throughout the season, and few would doubt she deserves the title.

In the senior women's team standings, only a disaster will prevent Headington Roadrunners from retaining their title.

They have dominated the season's races, and go into round five with a massive 116-point advantage.

In the senior men's race, Headington's John Lisiewicz is favourite to clinch the crown, leading teammate Gary Harris by six points going into the final round.

Close behind is White Horse Harriers' Pete Wilson, who could capitalise if either of the top two slip up.

The team crown looks like going the way of White Horse Harriers - especially if the returning young star Tom Penfold runs to his full potential.

Penfold, who leads the standings by a huge margin, should comfortably take home the junior men's title.

Abingdon look certainties for promotion to the men's first division, while Bourton will be relegated to Division 2 again for next season.

It marks a happy return to Abingdon, who were relegated to Division 2 at the end of the 1999/2000 series.

Races get under way at 9.30, with some of the junior events, while a feature of the final round is that the men's race will precede the wom- en's.

The men start at 11.10, with the women beginning at noon.
