Six people were rescued by firefighters in Banbury early today after a fire in a first-floor flat.
The blaze caused heavy smoke-logging to three adjoining flats and the lobby at St John's Court, off the Calthorpe Road.
One person was taken to The Horton Hospital by paramedics for treatment following the incident at 4.30am.
Three people managed to make their way to safety before the arrival of two crews from the local fire station.
Fire officers remained at the scene to investigate the cause.
