Three firefighters fly out to the troubled central American country of Guatemala on Saturday March 2 to brave volcanoes, mountains, lakes -- and, possibly, bandits.
Leading firefighter Kirsty Gresswell, fireman Steve Barclay, who are both based at Abingdon, and Didcot station officer Doug Mintel are among a team of 30 firefighters from throughout the country taking part in the two-week adventure, trekking, cycling and white water rafting across the country.
The three have raised more than £7,000 in sponsorship for the Fire Service Benevolent Fund.
